The research group MoMaS (Mathematical Modeling and Numerical Simulation for Nuclear Waste Management Problems - 2008-2011) is a member of the PACEN Research Federation. MoMaS's sponsors are:

The activities of MoMaS are centered around scientific computing, design of new numerical schemes and mathematical modelling (upscaling, homogenization, sensitivity studies, inverse problems,...). Its goal is to coordinate research in this area, as well as to promote the emergence of focused groups around specific projects. The role of MoMaS is to

gather scientists having a potential interest in this application area
help numerical methods designers integrate their work into industrial codes
increase communication between the various participating teams
foster new research directions
answer theorerical questions raised during code development
help disseminate research results.

MoMaS members will write scientific and technical papers, develop software, propose benchmarks, and will organise research oriented, as well as more tutorial, workshops.
