Benchmarks

MoMaS (Modeling, Mathematics and numerical Simulations related to nuclear waste management problems) is a federation of French research groups. MoMaS proposes numerical benchmarks to help evaluate computer codes. Couplex was the first of those benchmarks, and actually came before MoMaS was created. For some of the benchmarks, the "official" benchmark phase is over, but we chose to leave the texts online, as we believe they can serve as a useful repository of test cases for the community.

Currently running benchmarks

Two phase flows

Several numerical test cases, with a simplified physics, so as to cencentrate on a single numerical difficulty in each case. More information, or contact Alain Bourgeat.

The first exercice is now available here.

3D-Diffusion

Link to the benchmark 3D diffusion.

Finished benchmarks

Anisotropic and Heterogeneous Diffusion

Benchmark on numerical methods for heterogenous and anistropic diffusion in 2D domain, within conference FVCA5.

Geochemistry

Benchmark focused on numerical aspects of coupling between transport and chemistry in porous media.

Heterogeneous and anisotropic diffusion

Benchmark on numerical methods for heterogeneous and anisotropic diffusion, in the framework of the FVCA5 conference. More details are available.

Couplex-gaz

This benchmark was defined by Andra, with a collaboration from MoMaS. More information is available on the benchmark presentation page on the Andra web site.
